First car I remember my parents owning was an AMC Rambler. It was a 4-door. They bought it new the year I was born and kept it until I was in 6th or 7th grade. I remember all of us piling in for a drive to watch the odometer roll over. It was a pretty reliable car, simple enough that the mechanic at the local Texaco station could do a good job with tune-ups and repairs.
Rust was taking its toll and they sold it to a neighbor who owned a pizzaria. He used it as a delivery car for another year or two and that's the last I saw of it.
