How do you like the metal roofs?

I have been thinking about doing that when my asphalt shingle roof needs
replacing (soon, it's 22 years old, and I've already had to patch a leak
around a skylight in the living room). But some of the installations
I've seen look cheap and "industrial" for want of a better word.

My other thought has been composite tiles that look like spanish tile. I
really like that look but the cost of real tile is quite a lot and I'm
not sure if a normal truss roof would take the weight if it wasn't built
for that originally.
