I learned a new word today!

Susurrus definition is - a whispering or rustling sound. Recent Examples
on the Web: Dread creeps in; the ear instinctively fastens on anything,
whether fire-hiss or bird call or susurrus of leaves, that will save it
from this unknown emptiness.

We had a metal roof on the Little Mobile Home on the Prairie, south of
Calhan, Colorado. The rain falling on the roof made a pleasant sound;
I don't recall being startled awake by night-time rain.

Good quote. Like a similar one by Einstein:

        Of course we do not know what we are doing.
        It would not be called research otherwise, would it?
