I am driving from Little Rock to Ft Smith today and pass by the ol’ nuke plant next to I40 which reminded me of this story. Way back in the day I had a great uncle who was a simple farmer/rancher who owned thousands of acres of pasture land. Exactly now much I am not sure. He would try to borrow money from the bank and they would laugh him out. Back in the early 70’s there were plans to build a nuke plant in OK. Guess who they bought thousands of acres of land from? My great uncle. He because a millionaire. Soon the banks were running to him to do business. He ended up being on the board of directors of the bank that turned him down years before. Whatever he sold he still had thousand of acres afterward.
Due to protestors the plant never got built. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Fox_Nuclear_Power_Plant Sent from my iPhone _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
