I mill my own flour with the Family Grain Mill attachment for my
commercial grade KitchenAid stand mixer. I just ordered a case of hard red
winter wheat from the LDS store, and a 25# bag of rye from Amazon. The
wheat is in cans with a 30 year shelf life. I vacuum seal the rye into
half-gallon mason jars with oxygen eater packets.

I've been doing this for many years and have found no pest problems.
