Five years and a week ago I broke my left ankle taking the trash out in the garage, thankfully it wasn’t this cold.
9F this morning with a strong breeze out of the West, I still haven’t tried to clear the drive. As per usual, there is a drift at the end that’s too big to drive through, but I had zero interest in digging it out with blowing snow that would fill it back in as fast as I dug and a -20 wind chill. I don’t need to go anywhere until late this afternoon, if then. it was -8 yesterday norming. House is snug except my bedroom (converted covered porch) but I have a big comforter my Mom got me 40 years ago so I slept well. Cats stayed in the warm part of the house for some reason… More snow and wind predicted on Sunday, so Christmas this year may be next weekend no need to battle snow to have dinner with the family.
