And at this age, the servos will typically leak (hence low output from 
center vents), the rubber bits are old and hard, and leak, and the 
plastic lines can be cracked.

I replaced all the servos on the 88 TE when I did the evaporator 
(Hallelujah, I have AC at long last!!) -- all were bad.
