My brother had that happen while driving in traffic. Suspension collapsed to the point it ruined the front tire and steering was a real challenge [in traffic].. Result, stuck in traffic, at side of road, 900 miles from home. Tow bill, rental car to get home, shop charges to get fixed [over $3,000 ] plus a rental while it was being fixed, plus flight to get car and drive it home, etc etc.. all because an air bag decided to fail. Brother is no longer a happy Merc owner.
