You can pull one at the knackers or find one on eBay for probably not too much. Then it needs to be flashed to match the car. Those who do it can charge a fair amount, $300 or $400 maybe?
This 06E350 I got on trade had a buggered ECU, somehow it got set to be for a V8. My buddy Todd had one sitting on a shelf so flashed it to match the car. I’ve still got to get the starter swapped to get it started. That car looks like putting a few $100 into it would not be unreasonable.
