Be careful. I *think* the center hole diameter is different, but I can't remember whether it's the VW or the Mercedes hub that's larger. VW and Mercedes wheels are "hub-piloted" -- there must be a tight fit between the center hub and the wheel center, because this is what keeps the wheel concentric with the axle.
