Here in Houston there is this tradition of "art cars" started some years
ago by some hippie artist types, through something called "The Orange
Show" http://www.orangeshow.org/artcar.html. Anyway there are a bunch
of these things around, I see some of them driving sometimes, others are
just brought out for the annual parade. There was a 300D parked at a
school nearby, a coupla years ago, that had been "arted" up with little
mirror tiles and various other items stuck to it. Aside from the
sacrilege of doing this to an old Benz, it actually did not look half
bad in an artsy sort of way, as it was somewhat restrained but still
unique. I have not seen it around for awhile, not sure where it went.
Might have been a school project or belonged to some teacher or something.
This guy is a testimonial to the dangers of eccentricities coupled with
a "shed."
