Ok, you guys have got me a bit paranoid about overtightening the steering
box and after having changed it, I DON'T want to do it again. (Is there any
potential rebuilding I could do on the old one?)

So, I'm going to ask a simple question:
If I rotate the input shaft from the steering wheel back and forth and watch
the pitman arm, can I safely adjust the box just up to the point where I get
an immediate response?

This box looked perfectly adjusted on it's own. I turned the input shaft
and the pitman arm moved immediately in both directions. But now in the car
it's about the same as the last one. I have maybe like 30 degrees of input
shaft movement back and forth before I get the pitman arm to move...

So, is it possible to get GOOD steering out of these cars or are they
forever doomed to drive like a tractor where you have to waddle back and
forth with the wheel?

Levi (:
