Right so I run into town this evening to take some video's back and because of the temp difference there is ground fog and visibility is not great on the straight country road at 40 mph, what's that? Stand on brakes as Bambi and his brothers decide which way to run. Rubber shear, ya clouds of blue smoke from the 83 wagon with those locked up brakes, rear moves out to the right a bit too. Lazy must remember which car has ABS and which does not. Good thing bambi had tuffs of white, his brother blended into the
light fog far too well, trip home was much slower.

the tire. The rubber actually shears when the tires slide, and if the
weight is spread out over a larger contact patch, it will take more
force to shear.
