For used UPS units, RePC is often a good bet. Check out the "AS IS" aisle, particularly -- that's where I got three of them for $1 each. I don't usually see them at Boeing. Gel cells can be gotten from battery dealers (like Batteries Plus) or from mail-order electronic houses. Last time I bought some, Mouser Electronics (http://www.mouser.com/) had a decent price. The disadvantage with mail order is you're paying to ship all that lead. ;) APC also sells replacement batteries for all their units, but I find they're usually cheaper elsewhere.
