You need a multiplexer that is compatible with DAS. (good luck finding one).. 
The cables are probably specific to the multiplexer. I was looking at the 
MT2500 and decided it wasnt worth the money, I got a sweet deal on an iSCAN 
(autoland scientech/baum D91) with the mercedes, obd2 and beemer cables and 
software. ($2k used, $8k new)... when the stealer wants $120/pop to plug in.... 
I'll let you all know how well it works. With a pair of 99's I didnt want to 
fork over snap-on money for the limitations it has. I understand that you can 
use it without a multiplexer, but you need to manually select the proper pins 
for the system you want to talk to... a multiplexer lets the software handle 
the selection automagically. The problem is the "language" spoken between the 
multiplexer and the software...
