[MBZ] #_$(_(*& 300 CD floppy glove box door

I was reminded today that 4 years ago I promised to fix the
always-falling-open-due-to-the-slightest-bump glove box door on her 1985
300CD turbo coupe.   Replacing the latch had no effect as the door has a
huge gap on the top and droops to the left.  I think I need to replace both
sets of hinges to rectify the probability that the PO's bratty son used to
sit on or swing from the open door.  Does anyone know what's involved in
doing this?  Are the parts even available?
