IIRC my HS German teacher would have had a fit with that, something
about "gehe" implying that you were going to walk there. "Fahre",
if you were traveling by machinery. Of course, he was rather old-
school high German, and the texts we had were about WW2 vintage
and still used black letter forms. Long s's and the like. Oh,
and oughtn't the verb come at the end? Man, it's been a long time.
My parents' pickelhaube fit him, looked like he was made for it too.
