Keep playing with it, maybe try to flush it with some WD40 (can't hurt
at this point) and hope you get it to turn. Then with the key in
position 1 you can remove the cylinder by inserting a piece of stiff
wire into the little slot or hole on the edge to release it. You'll
have to unscrew the bezel around the cylinder as well.

Others may be able to describe the removal procedure more accurately
but it was pretty self-evident when I replaced my lock cylinder a few
years ago when it began to get sticky.

Whatever you do, once you get it to turn again don't turn it back to
the lock position. Once you get the cylinder out you can operate the
switch with a big screwdriver or similar tool, until you can get a new
cylinder. Rusty can order a cylinder and key with your VIN numebr.
Once you get the new cylinder only use the original STEEL keys, not
the brass copies you get at most key duplicating shops.

MB made the cylinder out of very hard steel and it is a big effort
(i.e. $$) to get it drilled out if it comes to that. Hope you can
work it free one more time.
