Apparently, these are real beasts for pulling a boat. The 5.4L does have a lot of power. The 15 passenger '99 Ford van that our dragon boat team used last year had plenty of power, but it didn't get nearly the fuel mileage that the Sprinter got on this year's trip. Everyone in the van contributed $10, $100 for 10 people for 30 gallons that took us nearly 500 miles. It can't tow as much as an expedition though since it only has a 5000LB rating. I believe that the Expedition has a 7500LB rating.
