Subject: [MBZ] OT: non US license plate

I was in town out here in the boonies and saw a Volvo XC90 with
what I suspect were European plates. I was unable to see
anything that I could identify the country of origin. It was a
tad shorter than a US plate, but much wider. I think it would
fit nicely between the taillights of my W123.

So I figured _the_ list could help my curiosity.

The format is AD:FXnnn with each n=a numeral.

Is this conclusive for identification?

Or is "European" all I get? *smile*
