Agreed, if you wear a seat belt the air bags are not likely to do a lot for you, and I don't really like driving around with a bomb pointed at my face all the time. When my F150 was hit (offset frontal collision) the airbag went off but I was wearing my seat belt and it (the airbag) never touched me.
