Yes, the brakes and exhaust were the only major expenses.   Th brake (shoes
and rums??) cost roughly triple what my Mercedes pads cost to replace and
lasted fewer miles than MB pads.  IIRC we had a glove box and door (we had
the upgraded coupe model, not the Scooter).  The hatchback was neat for
hauling junk with the rear seat folded down. All in all, it was 70s high
tech at its mundane best.  I went to Midas and recall replacing exhaust
components several times under warranty.
