That means that on caucus night, the Obama group selected me to represent
them at the county convention. When I got there, I supported Obama and
talked a couple of folks from the Edwards camp into coming into our group.
When it was done, there were X number of delegates (me being one) who would
go to District Convention on April 26th, each PLEDGED to a certain
candidate.

At the District Convention, we will again divide into preference groups and
elect delegates to the State Convention (I will not agree to that) will meet
in Des Moines. They will divide into preference groups, and a certain number
of delegates will be appointed to go to the national convention.

And those are the delegates that count.

In theory, each delegate should get the same percentage of delegates running
all the way from the county caucuses to the state convention. That is where
the word PLEDGE comes in -- I am pledged to Obama but have the latitude to
jump to another candidate at district convention. Same for folks going to
the state convention and the national convention.
