EdB, And you don't think that their Billion (with a B) in liquid Monies is being invested somewhere? Even if they were stupid enough to have it all in a checking account, the bank has the money re-invested in our economy. But more than likely it's all spread across investments and with investments at this scale, they probably have a team of investors making their Billion (with a B) work very hard, all to the indirect good of our economy.

They are sitting on a billion (with a B) in liquid monies, and I can't even get a dividend back as a shareholder. Oh no, there are corporations that hoard money for a rainy day and does not let it out of their sight for as long as possible. And, for every billion sitting in a bank for a company doing nothing but drawing a limited interest, there is another hundred thousand making it's way across our borders in illegal aliens going home to live the good life, outsourcing, international contracting, etc. The reason "The Dubya" has pushed to have another refund to "stimulate the economy" is because so many people/companies are sitting on monies seeing an incoming recession and so much is crossing our borders and *not* coming back. As a country we are simply bleeding money, and no tourniquet is big enough to now staunch the flow. Something simply must be done, American money is American money and it needs to be working for the American economy. Just my own opinion though, I guess.
