Frames on most things can be repaired. I know a fellow who bought a new Chevy truck and cut 2 feet out of the frame because he wanted a shortbox 3/4 ton diesel and GM does not make such a thing.
The low rider people cut parts out of the frame and box them to make them stronger. Just make sure you get someone who will do it right so it is safe.
