Yep, and I believe it's the same for git.sr.ht, which is noticeably slower than, say, github. I think Drew had some ideas and plans to fix this but there has been no ETA for that. On the mercurial side, specifically, we'll be able to improve things pretty soon, when py3 support (experimentally) is rolled out on the evolve extension. > 2. So it's read-only (clone/pull) for the foreseeable future.
