Please note the latest version is not available on the javaforge update 
site. The latest version is 2.1.0 and this is the correct 
homepage: https://bitbucket.org/mercurialeclipse/main and this is the 
correct update 
site: 
http://mercurialeclipse.eclipselabs.org.codespot.com/hg.wiki/update_site/stable

In any case to fix the error message if I recall correctly that might be 
caused by a bug fixed in 2.1.0 related to JDK7u21
