Hi,

As far as I know, you cannot "select" the part of a DVCS repository that
you want to clone. It's either the entire repository or nothing; if I'm not
mistaken, this is also the case with Git, but I barely know Git and
actually, I barely know Mercurial because each of these is capable of so
much more than my basic usage of them. You can, to a limited extent, select
in the **Push** window which changesets you are sharing.

The Synchronize option you mentioned is meant (I'll have to double check
this) for when you already have a copy of a repo and both have diverged:
you may then elect to only synchronize one branch, meaning that you are
only interested in one branch.

There is no official documentation for **all** the options and settings,
and such a thing is a gaping hole in the project to which I have alluded in
the past. Therefore I had started to collect the meanings while doing the
maintenance but it is definitely not ripe for publishing nor complete. Far
from it, actually.

About "How can we get it to only pull one branch.", please open a entry on
the issue tracker and paste the contents of your MercurialEclipse console
there.

Thank you.
