Hi, As far as I know, you cannot "select" the part of a DVCS repository that you want to clone. It's either the entire repository or nothing; if I'm not mistaken, this is also the case with Git, but I barely know Git and actually, I barely know Mercurial because each of these is capable of so much more than my basic usage of them. You can, to a limited extent, select in the **Push** window which changesets you are sharing.
The Synchronize option you mentioned is meant (I'll have to double check this) for when you already have a copy of a repo and both have diverged: you may then elect to only synchronize one branch, meaning that you are only interested in one branch. There is no official documentation for **all** the options and settings, and such a thing is a gaping hole in the project to which I have alluded in the past. Therefore I had started to collect the meanings while doing the maintenance but it is definitely not ripe for publishing nor complete. Far from it, actually. About "How can we get it to only pull one branch.", please open a entry on the issue tracker and paste the contents of your MercurialEclipse console there. Thank you. 2017-12-05 19:11 GMT+01:00 Peter Kronenberg <[email protected]>: > > > We created a clone of just a single branch in our repo by specifying the > branch name on the clone screen: > > [image: https://i.stack.imgur.com/j1OKE.png] > > > > But when we do a pull, it pulls everything from including other branches. > We tried setting this option in Preferences: > > [image: https://i.stack.imgur.com/DXtuF.png] > > but it doesn't seem to have any effect, or at least no affect that we can > see. > > > How can we get it to only pull one branch. > > > Is there any documentation for all the various options and settings? > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "MercurialEclipse" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to [email protected]. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout. > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MercurialEclipse" group.
