For other people knowledge, the following worked
Browser("XYZ").Page("ABC").WebEdit("frmP:inS").Set "S"
Browser("XYZ").Page("ABC").WebEdit("frmP:inS").FireEvent "onkeyup"
which eventually displayed the values in the combo.
