You can definitely create a Singleton for your Connection Object. If
you keep it in a Function library, associated with your test, you
should be able to access it seamlessly as well. I think the scope that
you have outlined, the Singleton should be automatically persistent
since its being accessed by a single test, regardless of the number of
actions it contains. Associated libraries are associated with the
test, not a single action. Thus, they are available to all Actions by
default.
