Interviews should determine experience which if one is experienced with relevant aspects of QTP or automated testing in general, then there's no need to "memorize". When I interview, I don't care if anyone can recite all of the methods of a particular class. I do care if they have "experience" in implementing a testing framework and coding and would be interested in having them explain their experience with various projects and other challenges. If someone doesn't have the experience required, they don't get hired. It's as simple as that. Knowing a particular method is a detail that hardly has any consequence. If the applicant can code well, that's all that matters. It's pointless to determine how many methods they can recite from memory. If the interview process eliminates people based on the interviewing explained here, that would not be a company that people should be working for. It's a poor means of assessing talent.
