Here is the problem with the letters as shortcut method : they are
global shortcuts and thus prevent you from typing a word starting with
that letter in the properties dialog. This is exactly the reason why we
switched from the original single letter shortcuts ('m' 'r' 'n' etc) to
the more involved shortcuts that are currently the default...
