I can now reproduce this bug:

* Run Merkaartor
* Configure the Map layer to Yahoo, if not done already
* Disable/hide the Map layer
* Exit Merkaartor
* Run Merkaartor
* Load some OSM data, best with the location bookmark you used last time
* Enable/show the Map layer

Now the Yahoo map is positioned about 240 pixels north of the real
position. At the bottom of the map view, there's a black area in the
background, about as high as the background imagery is offset.

When zooming in, the map tiles may be positioned at places where they
don't fit to their neighbour tiles. The whole imagery looks kinda messed up.

This all is gone immediately and for unforeseeable time when you use the
mentioned menu command.

For now, I have added a Troubleshooting section on the Merkaartor
documentation wiki page to explain what to do in this situation.

Could this be related to some initialisation problem when the Map is
disabled at the application startup? Something that gets re-initialised
with the menu command "Yahoo adapter".
