Hi All, First, thanks to you (and Yves in particular) for all the great patches submitted during the holiday season. It seems you used it to dig deep into Merkaartor to make it better (while I took some time off ;-)
Before handling them all (I already committed some), I'll first create a Windows binary from the snapshot of today, for those having understandably difficulties compiling Merkaartor from sources on win32. Do not assume it is a milestone or something, it is just a snapshot. On this subject, I would recommend windows users wishing to compile from SVN to use Qt Creator, from trolltech/nokia. It is a large download (~250Mb) but install a complete Qt development environment, with Qt 4.4.3 and mingw, and a passable IDE (it is very much alpha now, but, I'm sure, will be great once stabilized). Note that you'd have to disable OSMARENDER anf GEOTAG as they require external dependencies not easily installable on win32 (libxml and exiv2). - Chris -
