That's how free software works - if people cannot be bothered to submit issues they're seeing and help out fixing bugs then they better not expect having them magically fixed. Feel free to tell us that the sky is falling anytime you want if that makes you feel better - if you want to help improve merkaartor, see below. Merkaartor is a very nice piece of software that is (these days) mostly developed by a single person who is (from what I can see) spending a lot of time on it. Thanks Chris! PS: Anyone who wants to help out merkaartor and doesn't have the skills to dig into the sourcecode - you can: a) Improve the documentation in the osm wiki (it's linked from merkaartor.org) b) Go to the above trac url and triage the open bugs.
