Hmmm... I didn't know about the <TAB> key option. Well, here are some bugs to the <TAB> option now that I've tried it.
1. Pressing the <TAB> key once disables any sort of multiple selection until you restart the browser. 2. In separate move mode, <TAB> key cannot help in moving that node since the object to be moved is completely separate from the selected object(s) and the object that can be moved is the object that is highlighted near the mouse pointer.
