Is there any possibility to get the buildings not distorted in case of > changing the projection? > > You can change Merkaartor's projection to "Mercator (EPSG:3785)", which will give you more "square" buildings, but then Merkaartor is actually distorting the photo coming from the server (in this case, it doesn't seem too bad, as the photos' quality is really good). To avoid (as much as possible) projection issues, remember you can always right-click on the map layer in the dock and select "Set view projection to layer's". That will make the Merkaartor projection the same as the background image. - Chris -
