Works! Thx!
How will I know if the history is corrupted? I have a pretty standard
mapping routine and can try to reproduce the issue. The only deviation I
made this time round (first time using 17.2 after upgrading from 16.3 -
which I have only just noticed is still installed) was playing with the
map bases and settling on 2 map bases (for comparison of quality at
higher zoom levels).
Might I suggest an app feature as well? Bing doesn't zoom well at low
levels but is way better than yahoo. Unfortunately, if you zoom past
it's max available level, and then move the map, the pixelated map
doesn't appear. Instead, it appears to try to download a tile with a
zoom level that is not available and thus shows nothing. Perhaps
merkaartor could download the highest zoom available and then expand it?
I'm not sure if this is even possible because I know that (at least for
google), max zoom levels are location based.
Cheers,
Shawn.

This is a case of history corruption.
This a known issue I cannot so far resolve because people only realize
long after the problem occured, so I don't know how to reproduce.
The problem is mitigated in 0.18-dev with the ability to rebuild the
history if it is found to be empty/corrupted in the MDC.
I just committed the addition of a tools menu item to be able to force it.
Attached is your file with the history rebuild.

Yup. Nothing as if no changes were made or features added.

features between layers.

Hi all.
I've just spent over 4 hours editing a section of map using
the awesome Bing plugin.
Only then did I discover that I could not upload anything....
because there was apparently nothing to upload. All the new
areas/nodes I created appeared to come under the Downloaded
layer and the outlines were orange. I then tried to cut and
paste the features into a newly added Drawing layer but it
got pasted right back to the Downloaded layer (toggling
visibility on the downloaded layer supports this theory). I
then tried to draw a new feature in the Drawing layer but it
too appeared to land in the Downloaded layer.
Strange... You mean that, trying to upload, nothing is shown?
There is nothing wrong with the fact that the features are in the
"Downloaded" layer.
Orange means that the features are "dirty".
Could you send me the MDC that I could have a look...
Thx

P.S. The proper way to move features between layers is:
1) Select the features
2) <CTRL-X> to cut
3) Select the destination layer in the layer dock
4) <CTRL-V>F to paste
Bu I don't thing it has something to do with your problem...
