They could well be folks who dropped out some time ago and stopped working on new exponents. re the relative ranking within this group, I suspect the system is tracking a few more places than being printed on the listings. sticking around for the long run IS the best way of moving up. I run about 8 systems total ranging from 133MHz to 500Mhz and have managed to get myself up to around 47-50 by sheer persistence.
