Oh sure. (Actually I'm living on a windy coast at 55N, furthermore my house 
has electric storage heating so "waste" heat from computers during the winter 
months has a very low cost).

Indeed. I have to switch off some (less productive) systems during the summer 
just to keep my indoor environment reasonably comfortable. I don't have air 
conditioning - the climate hereabouts doesn't often warrant it - but running 
AC to dump waste heat from computers would approximately double the effective 
cost of the energy consumed.
