OK, maybe that could be it.

I may be able to try progressive, but need to remember what to change...

I have done it before when testing 4:2:2 (which doesn't work with weave
but does/did with progressive).

Hi Andy,

I am not sure why it's not working. It is working on my R7 M265.

Is it working on switching to full screen?

Have you compiled mplayer from source? Because you need to change the
hqscaling to 1 in libvo/vo_vdpau.c and then compile it again.

I was testing with mplayer -vo vdpau:hqscaling=1 and

mpv --vo=vdpau:hqscaling=1

I also noticed another issue = my screen is 16/9 1920x1080 if I use
fullscreen
on a 720x576 vid without any aspect in it it gets stretched to 16/9
with hqscaling=0 it would be pillarboxed.

In addition if I then press "f" to change back to windowed it doesn't
resize so I see a small portion of the vid magnified in the window.

I see the list is not ccd - I think you should re add so Christian can see
this reply.

He may know what R7 M265 is better than me - eg. it may be using the
progressive shader, whereas I am using the weave shader.

Hi Andy,

I forgot to change the feature in query.c, which is responsible for the
information about the capabilities of the mixer. I'll send the patch with
change.

Ok, I tried the new patch and with mplayer or mpv the output is corrupted.

I am using R9285 tonga.
