I'm having second thoughts about trying to recover all the ,v
files.

We have a snapshot from midnight, August 4 of all the files.
It was on August 4 that the hardware failure occured.  We
shouldn't have really lost anything.

How do people feel about abandoning the ,v files and starting
fresh?
