At some point I'll have to edit the .git/remotes/origin file to reflect the pushing, pulling, etc. for this new branch, right? Would that be after the push above, before it, or other? And then I'll just treat it like any other remote branch, which has it's own extra local branch for tracking remote changes? I'm worried that at some level this might one day make sense to me.
