I think I'm on the campaign trail for my favourite bug :) I'm forwarding this along from the KDE Bugzilla...
Basically all version of the radeon driver shipped in the KDE 4 era have left artifacts on the screen when using effects. The relevant kde bug number is: 155214 And the URL with further info is here: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=155214 I initially passed this message to the xorg-driver-ati list, but: > Michel Dänzer: > Actually, as it only seems to happen with OpenGL, it's more likely a > Mesa driver issue. Also, while I've seen this as well, there's no such > problem with compiz. It would be interesting to know what kwin does > differently. I'm sorry if I'm barking up the wrong tree, but I'd love to be able to show off 'the bling' in KDE 4.1 without the ugly artifacts. _James -- () ascii ribbon campaign - against html e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org - against proprietary attachments ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
