Please bear with me, I am not a developer. I am using an RS740 chip HS2100IGP integrated Radeon Video Card.
It uses the R300 driver, (support added in the 2.6.28 kernel by Alex Deucher) 3D rendering is normal in Mesa 7.2, but is slow in subsequent versions.
