Unless there are objections, I'll merge this branch tomorrow. Basically the branch just removes the width and height fields from the framebuffer struct, and adds utility functions to extract the same data from the individual surfaces.
This lays the groundwork for supporting mixed-size framebuffer attachments, which I'll do in a separate branch. The one outstanding change required is to documentation, which I'll do prior to merging.
