Is it in how the kernel recipes are written that fragments aren't
supported?  Or does it go deeper than that?

So if I understand kernel development correctly, the extra Wandboard
support is due to contributions to linux-wandboard kernel that didn't
get upstreamed?  Is there a way to find these contributions besides
reading commit logs/doing diffs?

Thanks for the clarifications.  I've been using Yocto for almost a
year now, but it's such a beast, I probably only really understand <1%
of it.  The rest I just say a prayer that nothing goes wrong before
each build.  =)
