Hi, I just checked and Freescale git server is working correctly. I used this command instead of yours: repo init -u git://git.freescale.com/imx/fsl-arm-yocto-bsp.git -b imx-3.14.52-1.1.0_ga
BTW, you may have an enterprise network firewall that may block by default git traffic. Do you have access to http://git.freescale.com/git/? If so, you should ask to your IT services if git protocol is allowed in your network.
