I'm still plannning to look into this, just haven't gotten to it yet. The intention was that all supposed TCLIBC would work with the Yocto Project (within reason). So I would expect both glibc and musl (on aarch64) to work.

That fact it doesn't really is a bug. Can you open a bug on the github.com/Xilinx/meta-xilinx ? That will prevent me from forgetting to check it as we move into updating langdale and eventually master.

One that only includes the fsbl, pmufw, atf and my patches with TCLIBC set to default to glibc.  The second builds just the kernel with TCLIBC set to musl with pointers in the distro conf file to the binaries from the other project.  It's not a pretty solution since it requires managing two separate builds, but maybe it won't be a big deal if its in CI/CD.  I've decided to abandon the effort though.
