We do much of the development of MetaCard on Linux, and all of this
stuff works fine with 2.3. You *must* have a bad install. Maybe
you've got two (or more) tools stacks installed and it's finding the
wrong one. Try putting the filename of stack "MetaCard Menu Bar". I
that doesn't help you figure out what's wrong, then try moving the
Linux engine (mc) to your Windows or MacOS system and building the
standalone there.
